Our History at Worthmore Academy

Worthmore Academy, a Center for Learning Disabilities, was founded by Brenda Jackson in1988 to provide an environment designed to meet the academic and social needs of every child enrolled. The center meets these needs by utilizing the principles of The Academy meets the individual  needs by using the best know teaching methods and styles for children with specific learning disabilities (i.e. - A.D.H.D., Dyslexia, Autism Spectrum.....) Under Jackson’s directorship, Worthmore has achieved 20 years of steady growth. Our experienced, devoted staff maintains the highest quality of individualized remediation with continued emphasis on emotional growth. Worthmore’s goal is to help each child return to a traditional academic setting within one to two years. Through the years, Worthmore’s primary commitment has remained the same: Each child shall leave us feeling “worth more” than when he or she arrived!
