Basis Behavior Plan
Worthmore Academy believes in positive reinforcement for most behavior
plans. The following is our general behavior plan. Individualized plans may be
created to meet individual behavioral goals.
- All students will be given a behavior tracker at the beginning of each day. This tracker will follow with them throughout the day so each teacher can record the student’s behavior in each class.
- If a student follows directions and gives 100% effort and respect, his/her teacher will initial his/her tracker.
- Teacher initials are converted to points at the end of each day in the student’s homeroom.
- Any child who shows 150% may receive bonus points on their tracker.
- The tracker also has a column for teacher comments, good or bad.
- On Fridays, in afternoon homeroom, students will add the number of points they have earned that whole week.
- After the homeroom teacher has recorded the points, the trackers will be sent home for the parents/guardian to review.
- The students will then have the opportunity to spend their points for treasure box prizes or use them for special privileges. The most popular privilege is getting to dress-down (not have to wear their uniform one day).
- A list of items or privileges the students can purchase with their points will be posted in their homeroom.
- Every Friday the student will take his/her trackers for the week home
- The parent/guardian must sign the weekly packet of trackers so it can be returned the following Monday (or first day of following week).
- It is the student’s responsibility to get the trackers home, signed and returned on the following Monday. (or first day of the week)
- If the tracker is not signed and returned on time, the student will lose15pts from their behavior point total.
- The tracker is an easy way to track the student’s progress both academically and socially / emotionally.
